I've got my PS3 connect to my Wireless router – they're 20 meters apart and works fine (no lag). I suggest you get a cheap wireless router as suggested above and use that router to connect your PC and PS3 to the net. Make sure you're using some form of security on your wireless setup too (WPA-PSK etc). Setting it up for the PS3 is very easy
